Ben and Eric started Sarnies around 2011 in downtown Singapore. Eric Chan worked his way from waiter to barista to roaster over eight years before the pair established their own micro-roastery. In 2015, City Nomads nominated them for Best Coffee Roasters and Bean Hunter ranked the Telok Ayer Street flagship number one in Singapore.
The Bangkok branch at One Bangkok continues the seed-to-cup approach alongside Australian-style food: house-cured bacon breakfasts, sandwiches, and salads. A Thailand roastery supplies limited-edition local beans.
